Earlier today the world football governing body FIFA unveil their plans to screen world cup football matches (including the world cup final itself) in 3D.

3DTV is an emerging technology, with major manufacturers expected to launch 3D products in the summer of 2010. 3D has been around for decades, utilising coloured lenses (usually red/green) to simulate a 3D effect.
